Joining students from our Shibaura Institute of Technology (SIT), a total of 172 students from the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB), King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang (KMITL), King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT), Kasetsart University (KU), National Taiwan University (NTU), Suranaree University of Technology (SUT), and Thammasat University (TU) have come together to form multinational teams.
The theme of this year’s program is “What Holds When the Weather Doesn’t: Comparing How Nations Build Durable Cities — and Proposing a Solution.” Over the coming days, the students will visit disaster-prevention and infrastructure facilities in Tokyo, carry out site inspections, and work in groups to develop proposals for more resilient cities. We warmly look forward to seeing their ideas at the final presentations on September 17, and hope this will be a rewarding and memorable experience for everyone involved.
