The global Project Based Learning (gPBL-Thailand-2026), a collaborative international program between Shibaura Institute of Technology (SIT) and Kasetsart University (KU), has officially launched in Bangkok and Pattaya, Thailand. With approximately 100 participants, this is a large-scale gPBL.
gPBL is an international education program in which students from different countries and universities collaborate on real-world engineering challenges. Under the theme “Roots and Routes: Shaping the Future of Civil Engineering Together,” the nine-day program (August 24 – September 1) combines lectures, practice sharing by industry professionals, technical site visits, group work, and a culture tour. Highlights of the site visits include the bored-pile construction at the Bangkok Mall project and the Rest Village Sri-racha M7, currently under construction along Motorway No. 7 — both cutting-edge projects underway in Thailand. The program will conclude on September 1 with final group presentations, an award ceremony, and a closing ceremony.
