The 12th GEL-SIT plenary seminar for 2024 was conducted. In this seminar, Master’s students presented their current research progress and plans for the summer break. With several upcoming conference presentations, the students are busy preparing and advancing their research. However, it was reassuring to see everyone presenting in high spirits.

As part of a joint research project, two students from our GEL-SIT visited the site of a power line tower foundation using the deep foundation method in Sunto-gun, Shizuoka Prefecture, in cooperation with our joint research partner. The site is located near the top of a mountain that is not maintained for steel tower foundations,
