In engineering fields such as civil engineering, there is an increasing demand to disseminate research findings to the public. In this, submitting and publishing academic papers with an awareness of the IF is one way to convey the significance and usefulness of research to a broader audience.
The IF is an indicator of how often an academic journal is cited, serving as a measure of its reliability and international influence. Publishing research findings in such journals has the potential to promote academic dialogue with researchers in the same field and contribute to expanding and deepening research.
Our GEL-SIT and SIT value the intrinsic worth of research and strive to communicate its results to society in an accessible way.
