As part of a temporary GEL-SIT seminar, students practiced their presentations for the upcoming The 59th Japan National Conference on Geotechnical Engineering, which will be held next week in Asahikawa, Hokkaido. The graduate students scheduled to present have meticulously prepared their materials, resulting in presentations that were so well-organized, it was hard to believe it was their first rehearsal. Tomorrow, we will conduct a second practice session focused primarily on handling discussions and responses. We encourage the students to thoroughly prepare and practice beforehand, and to enjoy both the presentations and discussions at the conference. The GEL-SIT motto encourages everyone to ‘have fun‘ in all activities, including research.
