The Geotechnical Engineering Laboratory (Prof. Inazumi Lab.) aims to manage and develop sustainable ground/soil-based social infrastructure in harmony with the natural and social environment using simulation, data science, and artificial intelligence (AI) for ground/soil. Our goal is to provide knowledge for future generations to inherit and develop sustainable urban infrastructure and urban environment. We are actively engaged in research and development of adaptive social infrastructure (ground/soil) that can cope with the ever-changing global environment, unprecedented large-scale disasters such as the Great East Japan Earthquake, and sea level rise and weather changes caused by global warming.
