The public lectures of the “Open College of SIT (Shibaura Institute of Technology)” have started. This time, Prof. Dr. Inazumi gave a lecture on “Geotechnical Risks Caused by Nature – Learning about Soil Strong against Natural Disasters“. The lecture was attended by a large number of people, and Prof. Inazumi explained the geo-disasters caused by natural hazards such as earthquakes and torrential rains, which have occurred frequently in recent years, with specific examples from the perspectives of soil mechanics and geotechnical engineering. Prof. Inazumi also explained in detail how soil is related to our daily lives and safety, in order to promote the importance of soil widely.
