Several students and staff members from our GEL-SIT visited the Hazama Ando Corporation’s Technical Research Institute in Tsukuba. They were deeply impressed by the expansive and sophisticated research environment, particularly the large geotechnical centrifuge testing apparatus. The participants had the opportunity to firsthand explore a wide range of research areas within geotechnical engineering. International students were especially struck by the high quality of the research facilities in Japan. This visit endowed the students with new perspectives and inspiration, enriching their research and promising significant benefits for their future endeavors.
